In its long history, the BSA has consistently represented its members' interests, lobbying government, promoting the highest standards of legal practice and organising a varied social programme.

The Association prides itself on its keen sense of social responsibility and has acted as a staunch defender of the most vulnerable sections of civil society. The BSA has selected the Northern Ireland branch of the NSPCC as its nominated charity and continues to engage in fund-raising activities to support the excellent work of this organisation.
